Name: Goldrunner (1993)
License: Shareware
Author: James Dingle
Category: Action

Description: Taking place in the year 2704 where apparently ladders are still used as a primary means of conveyance (?!) Goldunner is a Loderunner clone where the object is to collect all of the gold on the level, then climb that ladder to escape the murderous robots that are after you. You can burn holes in the ground to trap the robots, which is necessary to reclaim the gold when they pick it up. The graphics are pretty basic, and the sound is through the PC speaker. The docs say that there are between 14 and 18 levels. Overall the controls work well, and there is a two-player simultaneous mode that you can also try with a friend on the same keyboard.

Name: Pango (1983)
License: Freeware
Author: Sheng-Chung LIU
Category: Action

Description: This game is a PC version of the arcade classic game which is known in the arcade as "Pengo". In Pango the object is to kick around blocks (of ice in the arcade, here they just look like ... blocks ...) in order to defeat your enemies. There doesn't seem to be a time limit in this version, but even on "novice" difficulty the game is rather tough (for me at least). Bad CGA graphics and equally bad sounds but hey it's a classic! (Also, press 'P' at the menu for the controls, it doesn't use the arrow keys!))
